TERMS & CONDITIONS

Please read these program Terms and Conditions carefully before joining the program. You agree to accept all of the terms and conditions herein without limitation or qualification. If you do not accept these terms and conditions, do not join the Famous Agents program.

PROGRAM DURATION The program has no predetermined termination dated. Fairmont Raffles Hotels International reserves the right to terminate the Famous Agents program at any time without notice. Points and reward certificates will be honored for a 6-month period following the termination of the program. You will be notified of program extensions on-line.

MEMBER ELIGIBILITY The Famous Agents program is open to travel agents who professionally engage in the promotion and sale of travel to the general public, through ongoing business relationships with travel suppliers. If this does not accurately describe the nature of your business, you are not eligible for membership in the Famous Agents program. Individuals who possess travel agent identification, but who are not professionally employed as travel agents, or who are not travel agency owners or managers, are not eligible for membership in the Famous Agents program. Fairmont Raffles Hotels International reserves the right to request additional information to confirm a member's eligibility for the Famous Agents program, before issuing a Famous Agents membership kit. If the member is not able to provide sufficient information to confirm eligibility, the account will immediately be de-activated and the individual will not receive a Famous Agents membership kit.

Member accounts that have had no booking activity in a six month period will be de-activated. Members may request to have their accounts re-activated – such requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Additional information may be requested, to further assess the individual’s eligibility for the Famous Agents program. If a member’s account is re-activated, the member will then have six months to restart activity or redeem existing points. After six months, should the account remain inactive, membership will be cancelled and any outstanding accumulated points will be voided.

Famous Agents membership and points belong to the member, and not member's employer or clients. In addition to the other eligibility requirements in these terms and conditions, members must notify their employer and clients that they are part of the Famous Agents program and that points will be awarded to them personally for booking reservations on behalf of their clients at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Hotels & Resorts and Swissotel Hotels & Resorts. Members must also ensure that participation in the Famous Agents program is not in contravention of any company policy, direction, or code of conduct.

MEMBER STATEMENT A statement summarizing your total accumulated points is available on-line, by logging into your Famous Agents account. Should you have any questions regarding your points earned please email famousagents@accor.com or call 1-866-326-6875 (toll-free in North America) / 506-877-3194 (international).

POINT ELIGIBILITY Points are awarded for client reservations booked and actualized at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Hotels & Resorts and Swissotel Hotels & Resorts through the GDS, our call center, hotel direct, online or through wholesalers. Bookings for group travel, conventions, discounted rates and complimentary stays, or in conjunction with proprietary or third party reward programs, are not eligible for Famous Agents points. Only one member may claim Famous Agents points for each client reservation, and points will be awarded to the first member who claims ownership of said reservation. Reservations made for dates prior to becoming a member are not eligible for Famous Agents points. Fairmont Raffles Hotels International reserves the right to determine point eligibility.

POINT ACCUMULATION Points will be awarded for qualified room nights booked at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Hotels & Resorts and Swissotel Hotels & Resorts, as follows:

  • When booking through the GDS, the member must enter FA + his/her Famous Agents number in the Special Instructions field.
  • When booking through our call center or hotel direct, the member must quote his/her Famous Agents number to the reservation agent.
  • When booking online, the member must enter FA + his/her Famous Agents number in the Famous Agents field.
  • When booking through a wholesaler, the member must visit www.frhi.com/famousagents, login to his/her account and enter the reservation details in the Wholesale Reservation Submission Form. Entries must be for future reservations; the system cannot accept entries for reservations that have been actualized.

Points will be awarded to the member within 10-14 business days of the client’s checkout date.

MISSING POINTS Points for reservations not appearing on member statements can be requested by completing a Missing Stay Form online. In order to qualify, the member’s IATA number must have been included with the booking at the time of reservation, and Famous Agents points must not have been awarded to another program member. Points for missing stays can be credited to member statements for qualified client reservations within six months of the clients’ check-out dates, as of April 1, 2007 (missing points will not be credited for client reservations that occurred prior to this date). Please allow 10-14 business days for processing.

REVENUE BONUS Bonus points are awarded for reaching pre-determined revenue thresholds. These bonus points are awarded based on the total USD value of the room revenue for each individual reservation.

OBTAINING REWARD CERTIFICATES Before requesting your reward certificate, please call 1-866-840-8085 (toll-free in North America) or 506-387-0387 (international), or email famousagents@accor.com, to make your reservation (reservations cannot be made more than 90 days in advance, and cannot be made through the GDS or individual hotels). Once your reservation is confirmed, please request your reward certificate from the Famous Agents online Redemption Center. Please allow three business days for processing reward certificate requests; reward certificates will be emailed to you one week prior to your date of arrival.

ROOM REWARD CERTIFICATE REDEMPTION Famous Agents reward certificates must be redeemed at participating Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Hotels & Resorts or Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts locations. They are subject to availability and may be subject to seasonal blackout dates at specific hotels or resorts. They cannot be redeemed through travel agencies and they are non-commissionable. Members must guarantee reservations with a credit card; printed copies of reward certificates must be surrendered at check-in, and travel agent ID must be shown upon request. Reward certificates are valid for one night at the property type (city centre or resort) and in the room category (standard room or junior suite) specified, exclusive of taxes and gratuities & resort levies (where applicable). A maximum of two Famous Agents reward certificates may be used per stay; additional nights will be billed at the Famous Agents travel agent rate or best available rate, subject to availability (length of stay restrictions may apply). Famous Agents reward certificates may only be applied to the room occupied by the Famous Agents member; local family plans apply for children accompanying adults. Famous Agents reward certificates may not be used in conjunction with other reward and/or promotional certificates and/or offers, including Fairmont President’s Club, Raffles Ambassadors or Club Swiss Gold complimentary upgrade and/or complimentary night certificates. They may not be exchanged for other products or services, group programs or catering functions. They have no cash value, and are void if sold for cash or other consideration. They are non-transferable and will not be replaced if lost or stolen. Famous Agents rewards may not be valid where restricted by law. Any tax liability, including disclosure, connected with the receipt or use of Famous Agents rewards is the member's responsibility.

FAMOUS AGENTS MEMBER RATE Unless otherwise noted, the Famous Agents member rate must be booked online, by logging into your Famous Agents account and following the links to the dedicated booking page. It is not available through the GDS, our main call center or hotel in-house reservation departments. The Famous Agents rate will apply only to the room occupied by the Famous Agents member.

Your travel agent identification number must be included with your reservation – this number will be verified in advance of your arrival. Once your travel agent identification number has been validated and your status as a bona fide travel agent has been confirmed, the Famous Agents rate will apply to your reservation - otherwise, the hotel’s rate of the day will apply. Valid travel agent identification must be presented at check-in. Individuals who possess travel agent identification, but who are not professionally employed as travel agents, or who are not travel agency owners or managers, are not eligible to receive the Famous Agents member rate, even if they belong to the Famous Agents program. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Hotels & Resorts and Swissotel Hotels & Resorts reserve the right to determine each individual’s eligibility for the Famous Agents rate, on a case-by-case basis.

Reservations booked at the Famous Agents rate are not eligible for Famous Agents points.

FAIRMONT PRESIDENT’S CLUB, RAFFLES AMBASSADORS, CLUB SWISS GOLD Reservations booked at the Famous Agents rate will not count toward your promotion to your next membership level.

CHANGES TO PROFILE & ACCOUNT INFORMATION Members are responsible for updating their profile and/or account information.

PRIVACY At Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, protecting your privacy is very important to us. Our goal is to treat the personal information you furnish us and your account information with the utmost respect in accordance with this Privacy Policy. WARRANTY DISCLAIMER Fairmont Raffles Hotels International provides the Famous Agents membership, these and other materials, and other services and products on an "as-is" basis and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, expressly disclaims any warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, design, accuracy, capability, sufficiency, suitability, capacity, completeness or availability except those warranties that are not able to be excluded and those that are imposed by the laws applicable to those terms and conditions. The member agrees that Fairmont Raffles Hotels International does not represent, warrant or guarantee that the Famous Agents program or any such other products and services will be uninterrupted, without omissions or error free, or that defects will be corrected or changes implemented.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY Under no circumstances will Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, officers, directors, agents, servants and representatives ("Fairmont Raffles Hotels International Representatives") be liable for any damages, including, but not limited to, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of the Famous Agents program or any such other products and services, even if Fairmont Raffles Hotels International or Fairmont Raffles Hotels International’s Representatives have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, therefore, such exclusions may not apply. In the event Fairmont Raffles Hotels International is held liable for any damages related to such matters, the member's sole and exclusive remedy will be limited to reimbursement for services or products paid by the member to the entity held liable which were provided by such entity. The member hereby waives any and all rights to bring any claim or action related to such matters in any forum beyond two years after the first occurrence of the kind of act, event, condition or omission upon which the claim or action is based.

GENERAL Members are responsible for all resort levies, taxes and surcharges and all other taxes of any kind, where applicable, in connection with Famous Agents rewards. Points and member accounts are non-transferable and non-combinable, and are redeemable by the member only. Reward certificates are non-refundable if lost, stolen or destroyed. Reward certificates have no cash surrender value. Point value and reward schedule value are subject to change and will be communicated on-line.

By participating in the Famous Agents Program, the member voluntarily, expressly and knowingly agrees to each and all of the terms and conditions set out herein including, without limitation, the following:

  • Fairmont Raffles Hotels International does not represent, warrant, or guarantee the information or its processing, use, reproduction, modification, adaptation, translation, derivation, sharing, publishing or distribution, including without limitation the accuracy, reliability, security, or any other feature relating thereto or its processing, use, reproduction, modification, adaptation, translation, derivation, sharing publishing or description;
  • The member represents and warrants that they have the right to give such information to Fairmont Raffles Hotels International and that such information is not libelous, defamatory, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, illegal, or otherwise objectionable that would constitute or encourage a criminal offence, violate the rights of any party, or otherwise give rise to liability or violate any law.

Fairmont Raffles Hotels International reserves the right to add, modify, suspend or delete any of the rules, terms, conditions, procedures, benefits, rewards, or point levels pertaining to this program at its sole discretion without notice. This program is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Fairmont Raffles Hotels International reserves the right to revoke or suspend membership in the program and invalidate all points earned by said member should he/she not follow the terms and conditions of the program or abuse the privileges granted by the program. Fairmont Raffles Hotels International also reserves the right to discontinue membership for any member that acts in a manner inconsistent with or contrary to local or federal laws, statutes and regulations. All interpretations of these terms and conditions shall be at the sole discretion of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International.

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THESE TERMS YOU SHOULD ELECT NOT TO JOIN THE FAMOUS AGENTS PROGRAM. Because such information must be used, reproduced, modified, adapted, translated, used to create derivative works, shared, published and distributed as a basic part of the Famous Agents program, it is not possible to join the Famous Agents program and limit, control or edit such use, reproduction, modification, adaptation, translation, derivation, sharing, publishing and distribution. Your continued membership in the Famous Agents program following the posting of any changes to these terms and conditions will mean that you accept those changes.
